Vintage 2003
After a scorching and dry summer and a permanent wind which permitted the vine to cope with the heat, the grapes matured extremely quickly. The harvest started early on 1st September under the sun. It lasted 15 days, the varietals for the whites and roses were picked by night so as they were not warm. During the day, we picked the grapes for the reds : they were ripe and healthy. For the Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignons , the fermentation was long 4-5 weeks, then the wines were matured between 12 and 14 months in oak barrels. The wines are powerful, rich with ripe red fruit.
